Born from a
six-hour drive.
My wife and I showed up to a trade show and realized we'd left every single business card at home. A six-hour round trip later, we had our cards — but we also had a question burning in our heads: why are we still doing this the old way?
We're artists. We work with wood and resin — crafting live edge tables, river tables, and one-of-a-kind furniture pieces. We know what it means to put something into the world that lasts. So when we needed a better business card, we made one ourselves.
QR codes break. Paper cards end up forgotten on fridges and dressers. We needed something people would always carry. The answer was obvious: their keys.
Embedding an NFC chip into resin was a natural fit for us. What we discovered is that the resin actually improves the chip — protecting it from impact, making it fully waterproof, and ensuring it lasts for years. And unlike a business card, you can reprogram it whenever your details change.
Since we started using these ourselves, we've seen our website traffic increase by 100 to 200 percent. People tap, they bookmark, they come back. That's the difference — and that's why we made it available to everyone.
